This group of volunteers donate a variety of items to many needy organisations, some of those being, Hospitals at Nambour, Caboolture, Redcliffe and Mater Mothers, with items for special Care Unit, baby items, trauma bears and toys for the children’s wards.
Homeless connect days put on by Brisbane City Council, where hundreds of crafted items, scarves, beanies, bed socks and gloves, where handed to the homeless.
Domestic Violence shelters were donated toiletries blankets and toys for children.
Noosa and Caloundra soup kitchens were also assisted with beanies, scarves, gloves, socks and blankets.
Some nursing homes and hostels were also assisted with items, knitted by the ladies.
The knitting group meets on the first and third Tuesday every month from February to November. All are welcome to join, morning tea is provided.
